Job Description

Under the supervision of the management team and in collaboration with the department managers, the incumbent will be responsible for the image projected in our stores. Using the tools provided by the Sobeys group, the incumbent will be able to analyze, plan and prepare circular merchandising programs for all store departments. Passionate about food? Tasks and responsibilities

• Analyze future promotions and local customer trends;
• Plan the development and implementation of various marketing initiatives. This responsibility will involve analysis of category strategies (pricing, promotions, assortments and planograms);
• Implement weekly, long term and seasonal merchandising;
• Define cross merchandising products for different departments;
• Contribute and adapt the circular marketing according to the seasons and our local reality;
• Follow up and organize the planograms of the different departments;
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers;
• Responsible for the themes and decorations of the store;
• Responsible for contests, prizes and draws in store;
• Participate in seasonal webcasts;
• Work hand in hand with the operating system manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, college diploma or equivalent;
• Experience in retail and/or representation is an asset;
• Mastery of the art of merchandising will be a great asset;
• Be aware of trends and know how to put these ideas to good use;
• Mastery of basic mathematical equations;
• Be autonomous, dynamic and have excellent organizational and planning skills;
• Good teamwork skills and ability to communicate effectively.
